Subhashitas

वरमेको गुणी पुत्रो न च मूर्खशतान्यपि ।

एकश्चंद्र्स्तमो हन्ति न च तारांगणोsपि च ॥

 One gifted son is better than a hundred foolish sons. 

It is not the hundred stars ,but  the one moon that banishes 

the darkness.
